Creating Ibiza Wood

Amarsi Fragrances Blog

I usually create a perfume to remember a place that I miss and that for various reasons I had to leave.

When I moved to London I could smell the sun through my nose and feel it on my skin, the orange groves in my garden and that wonderful aroma of my ibiza house… a special aroma that everyone can smell when entering an old Ibizan house with wooden roof. The wooden beams of the old houses are made of SABINE.

A type of Pine, which exists only in the Balearic Islands and Mallorca with an unmistakable smell. From the memory of those hot afternoons dozing in the hammock during the siesta, Ibiza Wood was born. The scent of the Sabines magically blends with that of the lavender and orange blossom fields and which has the song of the Cicale as its soundtrack.

All this is enclosed in a bottle of Ibiza Wood that speaks of the sun, fields, the songs of cicadas and home.

Always fascinated by the world of scents and essences, Alessandra remembers her first experiments as a child when for fun she paints “sensorial” portraits of her family and friends by mixing and matching oils, perfume and spices that she imagines are representing people at its best.
She joins the Experimental Perfume Club where she deepens her knowledge on molecules, essential oils, proportions and blending, and that finally translates a lifetime experience and sensorial path into her first collection of perfumes.
